Associate (Miami FL)

Job Summary:

One of ACG’s clients is seeking an Associate to join the firm’s leading retail capital markets platforms.  The client is seeking somebody with at least 3 years of experience in investment banking, investment sales, principal investing, brokerage, or retail real estate. The successful candidate will join a team that advises institutional and private clients on investment sales, capital raising, valuation, and strategic advisory assignments across a diverse range of retail assets throughout North America. The role offers direct exposure to every stage of the transaction lifecycle, including underwriting, financial analysis, market research, property tours, preparation of offering memoranda and pitch materials, investor outreach, transaction execution, client meetings, and closings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive real estate financial models, including discounted cash flow valuations, leveraged return analyses, and sensitivity scenarios, to support underwriting, valuation, and investment recommendations.
• Create offering memoranda, pitch books, proposals, strategic review presentations, and other marketing materials for client presentations and transaction execution.
• Support the execution of investment sales transactions from initial engagement through closing, coordinating multiple assignments while ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met on schedule.
• Evaluate individual properties and portfolios through analysis of financial performance, lease economics, comparable sales, market trends, and other key valuation metrics.
• Analyze and organize due diligence materials—including rent rolls, operating statements, lease abstracts, third-party reports, and market research—to produce clear, actionable analyses.
• Work closely with internal teams and external parties, including clients, investors, lenders, legal counsel, and third-party consultants, to facilitate successful transaction execution.
• Maintain internal databases of comparable transactions, capital markets activity, and market intelligence to support underwriting, pricing, client advisory, and business development initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in real estate investment banking, investment sales, principal investing, brokerage, or retail real estate operations.
• Ability to be proactive, anticipate demands and accomplish tasks with minimal direction and oversight.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills; able to interface with clients including their top-level executives.
• Proficiency in ARGUS and Excel.
