Job Hunting Tip #7: Add Numbers to your Resume
If you are applying for a financial analyst position and have prior analyst experience, make sure that your resume outlines your experience by stating lots of numbers. Here are a few examples of how to improve your resume:
Before: Worked on a JV condominium project in the suburbs of Atlanta.
After: Secured $12 million of joint venture development equity for a 410-unit condominium project in a revitalizing sub market.
Before: Was involved in a mezzanine loan package for an Atlanta medical office building.
After: Structured $25 million mezzanine and construction loan package for a 165,000 square foot medical office tower.
The more numbers in your resume, the better…especially if you are applying for a financial analyst or acquisitions position.
